The TRUTH on the “Freebies” you were promised

Lets be clear about one thing, nothing in life is “Free”.  The first thing you are going to pay with is your TIME, the second is taxes, government charges, and the heinous processing fee’s. These are the “norm” for certificates, vouchers, and coupons associated with almost every Travel Club and Timeshare within the United States.

 

Now let us warn you about what we feel is the “freebies” SCAM. Beware of any certificates that cost you money upfront to redeem!! There is a trend of rogue companies requiring “non refundable” processing/redemption fee’s of $25-$125 per person upfront just to redeem your promised voucher! Then you may have to pay an additional $200-400 to use the actual freebie! **

 

Lets Be Clear – there are some very good incentive vouchers out in the industry. Some may even require a FULLY REFUNDABLE processing fee to redeem plus additional taxes and fees upon redemption. In our opinion, that is expected and fine. You must look for those clubs who never disclose the fees to use the voucher upfront. A good club or timeshare will fully disclose the total fees in writing, upfront.

 

**INSIDERS REVEAL**  Most travel clubs who charge non-refundable redemption fees are essentially having you cover their marketing costs. Could you actually be purchasing your own “Freebie”????  What happens if you dont take the trip? Do you get your “redemption fee” back? Doubtful. Also, those non vacation certificates are getting a lot of complaints in the industry. Can a timeshare or travel club really afford to give away a laptop for attending a sales presentation? Does that even sound realistic?

We recommend doing business with companies who only charge fully refundable fees or nothing upfront to receive the voucher or promised gift in your hand. Standard taxes are acceptable to expect.
